These youth camp leaders should have the primary responsibility for

planning, directing, and evaluating camp.”

Assignment Title: Youth Camp Leader

 

Duties of Assignment:

• Counsel with Stake Young Women presidency about goals and theme for camp  

• Plan, direct, and evaluate camp

• Attend and conduct (by assignment) pre-camp meetings 

• Counsel with Stake Young Women presidency, YCL leaders, and other YCL’s to choose and plan safe and meaningful activities

• With the support of stake Young Women presidency, plan and direct activities at camp  

• Fill out a planned activity form for each activity

• Minister to other young women. Offer love and sincere friendship. Pray for young women by name. Perform acts of kindness. Teach and invite other young women to minister by word and example

• Be a teacher through example and testimony

• NO hazing, pranks, and other unkind, immoral, or disrespectful conversations and behaviors that are unacceptable (YW Camp Guide pg.23)

• Be prepared for the physical and emotional demands of camp

• Fulfill responsibilities at camp such as cooking, cleaning, devotionals, class and activity assignments, etc.  

• Prepare spiritually for camp.  Seek and follow the spirit

• Remember the younger girls are watching and learning from you. How you conduct yourself and follow guidelines at camp will set a standard for them to follow.
